Iguodala Signs with the Warriors

The Warriors are just so lucky to keep both of their top bench players in Iguodala and Livingston. Honestly, I thought both of them will leave. Though I guess they want to win, and I don’t blame them for that. Iguodala signed a 3 year, 48 million dollar deal. He definitely would’ve got payed much more. When asked about his decision to staying with the Warriors it was his son, who cried when he was choosing to sign with the other team. Warriors fans, thank his kid for Iguodala staying. That’s it for now. Hope you enjoyed. 🙂 PEACE

Wolves Trade Ricky Rubio for Draft Pick

Wow. Trading Rubio must mean that they are looking to sign another point guard in free agency, as the Utah Jazz acquire the 26 year old for a top-14 protected draft pick. I’m not sure what year that draft pick is in though. In one of my previous posts I told you that the Wolves were looking to sign a point guard in free agency. Having a list of Kyle Lowry, Jrue Holiday, George Hill, and Jeff Teague. Looking at this trade I’m assuming George Hill is going to be leaving the Jazz and signing with another team, maybe even the Wolves. Though really if he would go to the Wolves the Jazz should’ve offered to trade him and put him in the trade. Because now you are just really letting him go. Maybe the Wolves knew they were going to get him in free agency and decided not to trade to get him. Because I guess both teams could work out a George Hill for Ricky Rubio trade. Both teams would kind of lose, and win, because the Jazz will get a young player entering his prime, maybe to coax Gordon Hayward to stay, but a horrible shooter and a bigger salary. The Wolves will get a nice shooter in George Hill and could sign him for less, because he is 31, which is also a bad thing. He doesn’t really fit the age group of the team, which is supposed to be young, and supposed to be taking over the league in a few years. I guess the Wolves were looking to take off some cap space before free agency starts at 12 tonight. I’m almost certain by this move the Wolves are going to be looking to sign a point guard to fill in for Rubio. A good ball handler and passer and shooter to play along side KAT, Andrew Wiggins, and Jimmy Butler. That’s it for now. Hope you enjoyed. 🙂 PEACE

I know I didn’t post yesterday and it was because I had no time, and to be honest nothing much happened at all. Sorry.

How the Cavaliers are so close to Competing with the Golden State Warriors

NBA: Golden State Warriors at Cleveland Cavaliers

Most recently, a report came out saying that the Cavaliers were trying to acquire both Paul George and Carmelo Anthony in a 5 team trade. Wow. More than just thinking about Paul George and Carmelo Anthony, I just thought wow, a 5 team trade, not something you hear everyday. Stupid, right? The teams reportedly in this trade were the Knicks, Pacers, Nuggets, and Phoenix. I’m guessing Kevin Love will be tossed from the Cavaliers to probably the Nuggets. Phoenix will probably give Eric Bledsoe away, though I don’t know to the Pacers or Knicks. But I will guess the Knicks because I think the Pacers are just going to receive some young players and draft picks from the other teams. Though the talks didn’t really continue from there but the Cavaliers do have a chance.

And if this trade goes down, or the Cavaliers do receive Paul George, man will the commissioner will be laughed at. As he says that he doesn’t think the league is ruled by just two teams in the Cavaliers and Warriors. Honestly even though we have been a few weeks into the off season it has been more exciting than the regular season and playoffs. And when free agency starts man oh man is all the stuff going to come at me to post. So many teams will be trying to compete with the Warriors and Cavaliers. The NBA has turned into this race to see who gets who before who. Or which team will get bla before bla gets to go to the other team with bla. I’m not sure whether the battle of the super teams ever stop. Even though there aren’t any others other than the Warriors everyone is scavenging for them.

Okay now I’m getting off topic. Back to the Cavaliers. This off season almost determines if the Cavaliers will win a championship or not. They need to make a move. Lebron is 33, even though he shows no signs of slowing down doesn’t mean he can’t take too much of the load. Kyrie has shown us that he can’t score without Lebron. And if Kyrie gets on fire, Lebron won’t pass it to him. Both players have their very own special style of play and it doesn’t go too well together. That’s why it isn’t good that Kyrie needs Lebron all the time. Getting Paul George means a lot more. Getting Paul George means that Lebron doesn’t have to play a full 48 minutes against the Warriors. Getting Paul George means that Kyrie won’t need Lebron by his side to score. Because really, Kyrie can only score if another star can draw some of the attention off him so he could go 1-on-1 and face off against the defender which is a piece of cake for him. Paul George is a really good fit for the Cavaliers. They could slide Lebron over to the four, because he is big and strong and really does the dirty work all game. The Cavaliers won’t even lose their floor spacing acquiring Paul George. Not only this, but sources close to Paul George states that George would resign with Cleveland if he gets traded over there, and if Lebron stays there too. So this is already looking amazing. Though the Cavaliers will have one weakness playing against the Warriors. Their bench.

Okay, there bench is the trash, just trash. All the “okay”(not that trash but trash)  people on the bench are Iman Shumpert (who can only play defense), Deron Williams (old), Richard Jefferson (90 years old), and maybe Derrick Williams. But have you even heard of Larry Sanders? How many times have you seen James Jones play? One exception in Kyle Korver, but he is 36, can he still compete with the Warriors bench? Then after them there is bunch of trash people on the roster. While the Warriors have Iguodala (at least for now), Ian Clark (a nice outside shooter), Shaun Livingston (arguably one of the best backup point guards in the league), Patrick McCaw (a rising star), Javale McGee (who should definitely be starting over Zaza), and the GOAT James Michael McAdoo. Even if some of the players leave I know Steve Kerr will find a way to lure young talent to the roster.

The Cavaliers need to sign players who are young and show talent. Lebron could be a great mentor for a small forward, and Kyrie could show a young point guard his ways. The Cavaliers still need to play their cards correctly. They just need that one superstar to compete with the Warriors. And if that does happen and they land Paul George….RIP NBA 2017-2021

That’s it for today. I know this was longer but I was just in a good mood. Hope you enjoyed. 🙂 PEACE

NBA Rumors: Paul George Would Be ‘Open’ To Re-Signing With Cavs

Phil Jackson parts ways with the New York Knicks

YES. Even people who don’t like the Knicks much should be happy. And as for you Knicks fans, you should be relieved. 3 years of confusion and mistakes for Mr. Jackson. The only good thing he did was drafting Porzingis, and he was even looking to trade him. He also wasn’t on nice terms with their star, Carmelo Anthony. If the Knicks didn’t fire him, imagine what he would have done. Phil clearly couldn’t build a team, he needed players around him so he could improve. He had an aging Carmelo (who would be good if he didn’t hate him so much), and signed two people who were good long before then (Rose and Noah). James Dolan is really the Knicks savior, but really, there wasn’t much of an option at all. All the things leading up to the firing of him looked scary for the Knicks. So many trade rumors, talks, trades that were almost about to go down. The Knicks fans didn’t really deserve the last few years which were trash. I know this was short but I have nothing else to say. That’s it for now. Hope you enjoyed 🙂 PEACE

Why the Celtics Might NOT Trade for Anyone

For the past few weeks the Celtics, or no, for months and months the Boston Celtics have been in trade rumors with top-tier players in the league. We have heard all sorts of rumors, and whenever we get excited Boston just never does it. They never pulled the trigger on the trade, even though they are a piece away from a stacked team, or maybe even a super team. We’ve heard Paul George, Hassan Whiteside, Demarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis, Gordon Hayward, and Jimmy Butler (but of course, they don’t have a chance at him because he was already traded to the T-Wolves).

But a recent report that came out states that Danny Ainge thinks that teams think that Boston is stacked with future assets, which is true, but are asking for too much, because of how valuable the Celtics are. But when it came to the Jimmy Butler trade the Celtics reportedly turned down the offer of trading their no. 3 pick in this year’s draft (which already happen, it was Jayson Tatum) or the Brooklyn Nets pick in 2018 straight up for Jimmy Butler. That was a really good deal for the Celtics, but they decided to turn it down, but why?

When being asked about how the Celtics strong position in the league is an obstacle to overcome, Ainge replies saying that the trading periods, were one of the obstacles to overcome, and ends saying “We’ll just continue to find the right deals.” And you might say that the Jimmy Butler trade offer was an amazing deal, and as I said before, yes it was. But after watching the latest Mike Korzemba video (link in description) he introduced my mind to something else when talking about the Celitcs, and the Bulls and their future. He explained that the timeline for Jimmy Butler in Chicago didn’t match the NBA timeline. He says that the Warriors will dominate the next 3 years at the least, and teams like Chicago are trying to build for the future. Sorry if I’m getting off topic but he changed my mind about the Jimmy Butler trade and how it can actually pan out for the Bulls. Getting back on topic to the Celtics, Mike was saying how for the Celtics, there was no point trading for Jimmy Butler. And if they trade for anyone now, for big names like Gordon Hayward and Paul George, it will only allow the Celtics to actually compete against the Cavaliers in the conference finals. No not win. COMPETE. They won’t be able to defeat Lebron, and even if the Celtics do make it to the Finals, they definitely won’t outmatch the Warriors, no not even close. This is why teams in the NBA are trying to go young, rebuilding because these superstars now that are 25 or 26, they won’t have a chance of winning a title unless they hop on the Warriors bandwagon which is STUPID. That’s why you might not see the Celtics trading for superstars or even players anytime soon. They are going to rebuild slowly. That’s why they are trading picks for more picks, and those picks for even more picks. And this is what more teams in the NBA are going to do. Like the Raptors, Spurs, Trailblazers, Pacers, almost every team who has starplayers over 25 might do this. It sounds a lot like just giving up, but it will prepare them for the future. And young teams emerging are lucky, because they aren’t gonna waste any time at all. The 76ers, Suns, Lakers, Bucks, T-Wolves, Heat, and Nuggets are on the rise. And they are going to be our future after the next 5 boring years in basketball.

But for these superstars it’s a sad time to be in the NBA, because down the road, instead of hearing names of what used to be amazing players like, Gordon Hayward, Paul George, Demarcus Cousins, Damian Lillard, and Isaiah Thomas, you’ll just hear about the Warriors, them blowing the 3-1 lead, and winning championships after that season with KD. And those great players, like Anthony Davis, Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and others will be robbed of an NBA Championship, though they will be all-time greats. And really, there is no one else to blame other than Kevin Durant.

To conclude, the Celtics don’t look like they are going to take the next step yet, or at least for a long time. As an organization the Celtics are doing amazing, because they get to rebuild and have  successful playoff team at the same time. This sure means a lot of money for the Celtics in the next decade, since I’m almost sure after the Isaiah Thomas era in Boston, another one will begin. As for other teams, they have no hope right now. And they should get to start  rebuilding right now, because it is going to be the Warriors and Cavs for a few more years, and most definitely the Warriors before someone in the West stops them. Hope you enjoyed 🙂 PEACE
